Super Healthy Banana Milkshake With Quail Eggs

A banana milkshake with quail eggs might not be one of the most common shakes out there. But then again, everyone loves a good banana shake. From kids to adults, these classic milkshakes have a versatility that only doubles their value and deliciousness. They can be mixed with a variety of ingredients, essentially turning them into super-shakes.

If you’re worried about a weird taste from the raw eggs, don’t be! You won’t notice any change in flavor whatsoever. Your banana shake will just be a little creamier – something you’ll surely like. And, from a nutritional point of view, it will have more protein and healthy fat.

  • 2 quail eggs
  • 1 banana
  • 300 ml almond milk or any milk
  • ½ tsp pure vanilla extract

  • Take a ripe, medium-sized banana. Make sure it's ripe, otherwise the texture and taste of your milkshake may be off-putting. Ripe bananas have dark spots. However, those are also the sweetest bananas, so if you're not into an overly sweet milkshake, choose regular yellow bananas.
  • Peel the banana and put it in the blender. Then, add the milk, vanilla extract, and quail eggs. Blend the mixture until it becomes smooth. If you don't have an electric blender, don't be discouraged. You can use a hand blender too. If you don't have a hand blender, chop the banana finely and mix the ingredients in a bowl until you get a smooth-ish drink. Drink immediately.

If you’re wondering what makes this banana milkshake with quail eggs a “super snack”, the answer is simple: the two tiny eggs. If you’re into healthy eating and have a passion for quail eggs (like I obviously do), surely you must know by now that they are OK to be served raw, and adding them to this milkshake definitely allows you to eat them as such. This way, all of their nutritional power remains intact and your body can fully use the vitamins and protein they provide.

Another champion that stands out on the ingredient list is the exotic banana. Packed with antioxidants to help protect you from free radicals and high in potassium, this fruit really is a great addition to any diet. The natural sugars and high fiber content in bananas will help regulate the functions of your gut and help raise your mood.
